A day with Verio

Three walk-throughs of what happens in Verio when things get difficult. The people and services in them are illustrative โ€” the steps are how the system works.

02:30 ยท a waking night

The check-in that didn't come

Daniel is on a waking night with Leo. His 02:30 check-in is missed. After the five-minute grace, Verio prompts him in the app; at 02:40 the office is told to call his fallback number. He answers โ€” he was supporting Leo after a seizure. The late answer stays on record, his records are linked to the rescue medicine given, and his handover can't be signed until the event has an outcome.

13:05 ยท a sickness call

A 2:1 visit with medicines, three hours away

Grace calls in sick. Verio opens one recovery case for her 16:00 position and marks it critical โ€” it has medicines due and a 2:1 ratio. The offer ladder runs; nobody claims. Tom builds a three-move swap. Verio refuses the first version because Daniel would be both giver and checker of the same dose, then commits the corrected chain all at once. Every worker acknowledges the exact version.

18:40 ยท an emergency

A paramedic needs the medication list

Margaret falls. The carer calls 999, then makes three decisions in Verio โ€” paramedic, medical emergency, generate โ€” and shows the QR code. The paramedic gives their details and sees allergies and current medication, labelled provisional because one order is awaiting verification. The session expires on its own and closes out to the incident and Margaret's chronology.
